How to turn a PDF into speech

1. Open BriskRead → Upload Files → choose a PDF, EPUB, or TXT.
2. Wait for client-side text extraction (pdf.js / JSZip load on demand).
3. Press Play, then enable Audio Sync and pick a neural voice in Chrome/Edge.
4. Adjust pitch and WPM; narration rate scales with your reading speed.

Privacy note

File bytes stay in your browser for PDF/EPUB/OCR. Optional features that leave the device: URL article extraction (server fetch of public pages) and Gemini AI summary/chat (sent to Google with your own key). See the Privacy Policy.

Limits

• Unlimited document length — free for everyone.
• Scanned image-only PDFs: use Image OCR on page screenshots.
• DRM-locked or image-heavy PDFs may extract incomplete text.
